The following are the objectives of the Arab Federation for Wildlife Protection:

1. Revising all Arab legislation concerned with wildlife protection in the Arab countries in order to achieve compatibility with the requirements of the international conventions on the protection and trade in wild species.

2.  Developing an Arab strategy to achieve Arab integration in wildlife protection and regulating trade in wild species in the Arab countries and working for its enforcement.

3.  Co-operation with regional and international organizations interested in wildlife protection, as well as donors to support projects and research so as to attain integration among the Arab countries in protecting wild species.

4.   Exchanging annual reports issued by the Arab countries on activities related to wildlife protection and trade on wild species as evidence of the transparency and accuracy of performance in the fields of export, re-export, import and marine acquisition in order to achieve the desired integration among the Arab countries.

5.  Contributing to the establishment of educational and academic institutions, research centers and centers to provide studies, researches and consulting on legal, economic, environmental affairs with the aim of developing human capabilities in the Arab countries.

6. Raising public environmental awareness concerning wildlife protection, through holding seminars and conferences highlighting the activities of wildlife protection in the Arab countries, as well as regulating trade on wild species in these countries in accordance with domestic legislation and current international conventions applicable in this regard so as to achieve integration among the Arab countries.

7.  Holding training courses for personnel working for organizations concerned with wildlife protection (i.e. police, the armed forces, customs officials, specialists in wildlife, agricultural and veterinary quarantines,…etc.) with the aim of forming technical cadres capable of dealing efficiently with tasks in this area.

8.  Issuing bulletins, magazines, periodicals and posters, as well as films and television indications to raise, enhance and develop public environmental awareness in wildlife protection and to spread the culture of protecting wild species in the Arab countries.

9.  Holding an annual conference of scientific, marketing and mass-media nature. Its program and guests are to be chosen to cover all activities related to wildlife protection.

10. The Federation function as an expertise and consultation establishment in the scientific, environmental, commercial and legal affairs related to the activities of the Federation in the Arab countries.

11.  Contributing to the establishment and development offices for wildlife protection in the Arab countries in order to abort attempts of smuggling, and to regulate the procedures of transporting specimens of wildlife species through land, air and marine ports, as well as providing the means necessary to examine and classify these specimens.

12.  Paying attention to the establishment and development of banks of conservation of genetic origins in the Arab countries with the aim of realizing Arab integration in the field of preserving the genetic resources of wild species, especially for endangered species.

13.  Conducting researches and preparing feasibility studies for projects to be carried out by the Federation, as well as providing expert guidance and communication and foreign firms of experience specialized in this field.

14. Providing the necessary support to official authorities concerned with protecting wild species the Arab countries.
